Summer Camp
At The Promised Land Camp you don’t just go for the great activities or the fellowship of other Christians you go to be refreshed and revived in the Lord. As a child it was a place for me to feel the Lord’s presence and gain a strong sense of fellowship with others who called Jesus Christ their one and only Savior. Now as I return as an adult I can truly appreciate the work that the Lord dose in the lives of those children who attend, Many a soul has come to know Jesus and even more have gained a closer walk with the Savior. At the camp there isn’t just a nightly service where children are forced to hear just another sermon they become thirsty for the Word and truly praise God. There are morning and nightly devotions, an afternoon group study, and time set aside to reflect and memorize scriptures. It is indeed a refreshing sight to see children at six laying their lives on the Lord and Teenagers at 17 making their lives right before God at the alter together. Amid the activities (of which there are many) you see youth with Bibles studying the Word of God you see them praying , you see real laughter and joy. It is a difficult thing to walk away after a week (or two) of The Promised Land Camp and not feel closer and refreshed in your walk with Jesus Christ. Children come for the fun and fellowship, and then they leave with so much more.
